Micah Flint was a volunteer in Project High Frontier, a series of LexCorp experiments to bioengineer humans for deep space exploration, which ended up turning him into a being of stone with super strength. Angered at what LexCorp did to him, Flint went on to call himself "Rock" to fit his new appearance, wanting revenge on Lex Luthor, with Superman opposing him. At one point, Rock was recruited by Morgan Edge into his Superman Revenge Squad before going solo again.
