Set in the Regal City dimension, the series follows Prince Caleb Cinders, a teenager from Earth who discovers he is a fairytale prince and enrolls in Fairytales, a boarding school for good and evil. She befriends her four friends, Riddle Redd, Derek Snow White, Aiden Wonderland, and Jonathan Beast, forming the Fairytale Friends with secret power to combat the magical forces of darkness while exploring themes of friendship, identity, and empowerment.
