Matteo Sun is a Pink agent of the Sons of Ares and the husband of Regulus ag Sun. He played a key role in the events that led up to The Rising as the one responsible for educating Darrow of Lykos on Gold culture and ettiquette in order to enable the boy to blend in among aureate society. Matteo is described to be a "tall wisp of a Pink with long limbs and a lean, beautiful face." His gentle features include an angular nose, rose-quartz eyes, dark honey skin, and dusky hair with gentle curls and a blue sheen. Matteo the Pink is about 33–36 years old during the events of Red Rising.
