As earth heads towards an uncertain future, 100 scientists, mostly American and Russian, become the first colonists on Mars. Despite their stated goals, interpersonal dynamics present from day one and the inevitable procession of events eventually bring the mission into as much uncertainty as it was designed to counteract.
