Anthony Dwane Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He gained wide recognition for portraying Sam Wilson / Falcon / Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and headlining the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and its continuation film Captain America: Brave New World (2025). Mackie made his film debut in 8 Mile (2002), and earned critical recognition for his roles in Brother to Brother (2004), which garnered him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor, and The Hurt Locker (2008), which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the AAFCA Awards. He also played Tupac Shakur in Notorious (2009) and Martin Luther King Jr. in the HBO film All the Way (2016). On television, Mackie starred as Takeshi Kovacs in the second season of Netflix's Altered Carbon (2020) and currently leads the Peacock series Twisted Metal (2023–present). In theatre, he has performed in Broadway and Off-Broadway adaptations, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, A Soldier's Play, and Carl Hancock Rux's Talk, for which he won an Obie Award in 2002. Cybertron, the home planet of the Transformers ravaged and death, consumed by war between the Autobots and the Decepticons lead by both Optimus and Megatron respectively. now in a Cold War esque state Optimus and a few other Autobots now have to find the Allspark in hopes to restore their planet engaging on a ship called the Ark along with the Decepticons who are on their way chasing them with the Nemesis they both crash land on a planet called Earth where they befriend some humans to be their allies and now with a vow to protect earth from the Decepticons so they don't want it to suffer like Cybertron (the first chapter in a rebooted universe)
