Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven (August 2, 1939 – August 30, 2015) was a prolific and influential American film director, writer, producer, and occasional actor known for his pioneering work in the horror genre, and particularly in the teen slasher subgenre. Among his best-known works are such landmark films as "The Last House on the Left" (1972), "The Hills Have Eyes" (1977), "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984) and the "Scream" series (1996–2011).

Barovia, a gloomy and deselect village that is under the rule of the cold and tyrannical vampire. Strahd Von Zarovich (Thomas Ian Griffith) who is looking for his lost and former love, Tatyanna (Geena Davis) and he will send a slue of unholy monsters such as werewolves, zombies demons and more upon those who get in his way. Troubled barbarian, Caltherios (Dolph Lundgren) is haunted by the death of his wife that was at the hands of Strahd, in the process of settling in Barovia. Caltherios meets a misfitted elf (Anthony Michael Hall) and his sister, who's the village's local witch (Molly Ringwald). However, things get very sinister once monsters and nightmarish creatures began to pillage the town, some were created by the manic yet calculative scientist, Dr. Silver (Robert Englund), who sends carnivorous gargoyles to spy and keep the village in fear or feed upon any unfortunate souls that come across the beasts while the three start a quest. A cleric and his bard brother meet the trio, befriending them as the quest to save the village and kill the vampire begins. However, the vampire is always around the corner. Will they survive or Strahd's dark plan will be successful?..
