The relationship between the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) has deepened and solidified into an "all-weather, ironclad partnership", the Cambodian Royal Family has maintained close personal and symbolic ties with Beijing. The close friendship between Beijing and Phnom Penh is deeply rooted in strong party-to-party ties between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Cambodian People's Party (CPP). This has fostered "ironclad" cooperation across military, economic, cultural, and political spheres, including prominent family-level relationships. Cambodia remained its close ties with China.
