St. Jude's Grammar School (or St. Jude's) is an English fictional public school (a fee-charging boarding school) providing education as well as scholarship for co-educational students aged 13–19, located in rural Southern England near or close to London. The school is part of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and the Eton Group. The motto of the school reads “Per crucem ad lucem, ad vincendos spiritus in tenebris” (Through the Cross to the Light, to Conquer the Spirits in Darkness). St Jude's was founded on 1 July 1897 by the Church of England affiliated Christian and Anglican ethos for the upper class British elite.
