Wendy's mother always says her daughter is advanced for her age. She is so smart that she got skipped forward from fifth grade to sixth grade. While all the other kids in her class are twelve years old, Wendy just turned eleven. She's also in her school gymnastics club and is looking forward to the tryouts. Even though she's good at cartwheels and handsprings, she can't master the balance beam routine because she's afraid of heights. Wendy also really loves cats. She has cat T-shirts, posters, cat-themed toys and paperweights, and books involving cats. Her parents won't let her have a real one for some reason.
