R.J. Decker's new love interest in the second season, Elaine Gault is a former supermodel and the younger sister of corrupt businessman Dennis Gault, who sends her to spy on R.J. Decker; Lanie had previously met Decker years before he met Catherine and began working for the Miami Herald, when she was on a fashion shoot where Decker served as her photographer and the two had a one-night stand. However, as she continues to get close to Decker, her feelings for him become real and she enters a relationship with him, which could potentially jeopardize whatever plans her brother has in store for Decker.
