A major of the United States Air Force (USAF) serving as an air traffic controller on exchange loan duty to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) at Air Base Williamtown, Caspian takes command of the emergency rescue forces on the ground at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport after hearing of A&P 713's troubles. His wife and kids live faithfully with him as they travel together for his work and adapt to any changes they have flung their way for which he is grateful for. When he hears that Atlantic and Pacific's senior captain Smisek is on vacation in Sydney, he calls for Smisek's expertise.
