On moonlit nights, the menacing Moon Bear Emperor steals the souls of children to serve as guardian robots in his empire. One of these children was Kutaro, he was turned into a puppet, and his head was torn off by the Moon Bear Emperor. However, finding allies and head replacements, Kutaro steals the magic scissors from the Emperor and embarks on a journey to get his head back and return home.
