The plot unfolds as follows: The Punisher is led on a chase for Jigsaw, which involves confronting and killing various villains, including the wounded Barracuda. Following a clue from Jigsaw, the Punisher tracks down Finn Cooley, who manages to inject him with a hallucinogenic drug. Under the drug's influence, Frank massacres a mob of homeless people whom he hallucinates are past enemies and allies, like Microchip. Snapping back to reality with the help of Silver Sable, he locates Jigsaw's lair, which is full of doubles. After the Punisher slaughters the impostors, the real Jigsaw subdues him. However, a timely explosion caused by Silver Sable and a S.H.I.E.L.D. team (including Nick Fury, Black Widow, and Dum Dum Dugan) distracts Jigsaw, allowing the Punisher to stab him in the head. The game ends with the S.H.I.E.L.D. team holding the Punisher at gunpoint, flashing the words, "To Be Continued...".
