April is smart, independent, and level-headed, but also rather harsh and sarcastic, often very cautious of who she lets into her life. She also comes off as rather cold with boys and men, ignoring most and having a low opinion of them in general, due to her bad experiences with past relationships in high school. Her cold, reserved, and occasionally rational personality can extend to her friends as well, which annoys Iris in particular and often causes conflict between the two of them. Unlike her mother, she doesn’t give a darn about love or attention from others, nor is she very materialistic, childish, bratty, or egotistical. However, like her mother, she is very sensitive and is often jealous and irritated towards others. But for different reasons. At the start, she greatly dislikes Will, due to his constant rule-breaking, and the fact that he was chosen as leader because of what she saw as nepotism, rather than age and experience, and it’s not like Will likes her that much either, due to how much of a handful she is. However, over time, she does grow to accept Will’s leadership, and the two begin to share a close bond over family problems, especially after her brother Oliver turned evil.
