A secret agency known as Grid Battleforce combines a newly discovered substance called "Morph-X" with animal DNA to create it's own team of Rangers, who are tasked with fighting an evil sentient computer virus known as O.V.E.R.L.O.R.D., who is from another dimension and is bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. With powerful Morph-X abilities, these new Rangers battle against O.V.E.R.L.O.R.D. and his minions, including two evil clones of two inital Ranger candidates.
