Walter Emanuel Jones (born November 30, 1966) is an American actor, dancer, and singer who is internationally known for his portrayal of the character Zack Taylor, the original "Black Power Ranger" from the children's show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993). He has been featured as a series regular or guest star in over 150 episodes of various shows and has been featured in several films. Some of his credits include: The Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning police drama The Shield (2002), the top-rated drama series C.S.I. (2000), and the long-running comedy hit Moesha (1996). Jones works regularly as a voice actor, lending his voice to radio television, film, and video games. His recent voice-over acting jobs include work on Bailando (Step Up) (2006), Divergent (2014), and Annie (2014). Jones resides in Los Angeles, California, and spends his free time salsa dancing, camping, scuba diving, snowboarding, and traveling.

Located off the coast of California, Ranger Island is known as Zordon's dream. Founded by Jason, Zack, and Alpha 5 the island is home to the school that trains the most promising young students in the galaxy how to become power rangers. The dream is seemingly shattered when the school is unexpectedly invaded and attacked, leaving the school in ruins and its faculty and student population decimated. Credit for the attack is claimed by a new evil force, whose influence is quickly spreading throughout the galaxy, known as The Second Alliance. The Second Alliance seeks to rebuild Dark Specter's galactic Alliance of Evil in the wake of Zordon's energy wave and make Earth its headquarters/base of operations. Jason, Zack, and Alpha 5 quickly travel to another part of the island where a newly built replica of the command center has been built. Once there, they recruit one of the surviving top students at the school as well as four "citizens with attitude" from the nearby city of Angel Grove to become the newest team of power rangers. Now that Zordon's dead, can this new team come together to defeat this evil force that threatens to bring the galaxy to its knees?
