A mysterious teenage superheroine with the power to control earth, rock, and stone, overextends herself rescuing the inhabitants of a Pacific island during a volcanic eruption and is nearly killed by strange lava-people. Power Girl rescues her and takes her to New York, where Power Girl's friend, Dr. Mid-nite offends the rookie by probing too deeply into her secrets.
Power Girl and Terra make up during a fight with Silver Banshee and Gorsedd, an ancient Sumerian god accidentally brought back to life. Later, they easily vanquish Satanna and her band of animal-men, and Power Girl decides to mentor the new superheroine.
