Marowak is the owner and primary caretaker of the orphanage where Kubfu (and for that matter, practically all the Forest Sanctuary's orphans) were raised. Having lost his own parents as a young child, he's determined to provide as many orphans as possible with the parental figures and safe homes they need, and his kindness and wisdom has made him a revered figure in his community. He takes in Poipole after Kubfu brings her home, and though he recognizes that he's no replacement for her actual family, tries his best to be there for her in the same way a father would.
