Zorua is the version of the partner seen in the OVA adaptation of Shattered Worlds. They are an ordinary Pokemon who lived in a simple town, and ended up befriending Cosmog after accidentally stumbling upon the lab where they were being kept. After the Shattering began, Zorua rescued Cosmog and fled with them, and in the wake of the disaster, Zorua recalled a old legend of a human coming to save the Pokemon world in a time of great disaster and attempted to recreate the legend, resulting in Riolu's arrival.
