Before the Shattering began, Mimikyu was just a lonely young Pokemon who fell in with a group of troublemakers out of a desperate attempt to find friends, and often got roped into the group's troublemaking for the sake of pleasing them. When their petty pranks and ills turned to much more serious crimes after the Shattering, however, Mimikyu eventually got fed up and left their ranks after a few run-ins with the Band, and came to join the Band's ranks where they found true companions.
