When the Shattering occurred, Ho-Oh used its power to defend the land from rabid Ultra Beasts that had invaded, but was gravely injured in the process—and despite care from the Legendary Beasts, has struggled to recover its strength. Thus, its charges begun traveling across the lands, searching for a Pokemon who could help it.
