Arceus is the ruling god of the Pokemon world, said to have created the Creation Trio and then the world itself from an egg. The player meets with it at Destiny Tower in the post-game in order to ask for its help in undoing the effects of the Shattering, but how successful it is depends on what ending the player gets. In the neutral/bad routes, the damage has spread too wide and Arceus' only option is to send the player and partner back to the beginning in hopes of doing things better this time—but in the true ending, it saves the world with the Creation Trio's help, and can be fought again on future trips to Destiny Tower for a chance at being recruited.
