Durant is a humble construction worker who the Builder contracts to help the community she arrived in rebuild following a massive disaster, and after earning his respect, he not only gets the job done, but follows her into fighting the Bittercold out of loyalty. He's a serious and no-nonsense type who tends to laser-focus on getting his jobs done, which can be both a blessing and a curse.
