Palafin is the leader of Team Dare, an extremely famous exploration team that also happen to be alumni of the guild the hero had initially tried to gain apprenticeship at. He's outwardly a heroic and noble sort, but in private he's actually an incredibly bitter and cynical Pokemon haunted by his memories of the war against Dark Matter.
