A Pokemon you meet during the Super-rank storyline. Long ago, Mewtwo was an artificial Pokemon created by humans who ultimately were forced to flee the land due to disaster, and it was placed in stasis only to awaken alone years later. For a while, it traveled with two other Pokemon until they disappeared during the war against Dark Matter, and now it searches the land for its missing friends. In the meanwhile, however, it's aligned itself with you to stop Eternatus's forces from reviving Dark Matter.
