Dragonite is one of the three Pokemon that makes up Team Blue Star, a team of Pokemon who claim to be famous and powerful explorers but are actually fairly weak. Though big and tough-looking, he's terribly cowardly and tends to flee at the first sight of conflict. He and his team members initially pretend to help the hero revive Groudon and Kyogre, but in actuality trick them into doing all the work so Team Blue Star can get all the praise, only to call upon their help when the two Legendaries go on a primal rampage.
