Shinx is an orphan at Uderzo Orphanage and Piplup's only friend. Having lost his family during the ultra beast invasion, he was sent to the facility and there, he befriended the lonely penguin. When the two kids where venturing a mystery dungeon on their own, Shinx ended up being kidnapped by bandits, forcing Piplup to ask Kayden and Pikachu to help them save their friend, to which they luckly succeeded.
