He's best known for his role as Chad Danforth in Disney's High School Musical franchise, and has also appeared in Broadway productions including Godspell, In the Heights, Holiday Inn, and Kiss Me, Kate. He won a Chita Rivera Award for his performance as Ted Hanover in Holiday Inn.

In the first part of the Original Series, Ash Ketchum is allowed to start his journey in the world of Pokémon and dreams of becoming a Pokémon master, but on the day he is to receive his first Pokémon, Ash oversleeps and wakes up in a panic, running into Gary Oak, who becomes Ash's rival.
