In a time long ago, Darkrai was an evil Pokemon who vied to make a dark world that he could rule as his own, no matter the cost—but after a crushing defeat at the hands of Team Pokepals and being dragged through a dimensional rift, he lost his memory and with it, his passion for evil. In his amnesiac state he was found by Cresselia, who, seeing that he no longer held any sort of ill will, chose to lead him onto the path of good. Now, he uses his nightmares to punish evil Pokemon and steer them onto the path of good. He arrives at the end, to trap Team Souls in a nightmare as punishment for attempting to kidnap Celebi.
