A planet named Sakaar, hoping to get rid of his destructive rampages. Instead, Hulk becomes a powerful gladiator, leads a rebellion against the planet's tyrannical ruler, the Red King, and eventually becomes the king himself. While the Hulk finds a place for himself on Sakaar and even finds love, the story culminates in a tragic event that forces him to return to Earth, angrier and more powerful than ever, setting the stage for the "World War Hulk".
