Johnathan Laverne Sturgess, born on April 18th, 2011, in Chicago, IL, is a young filmmaker, director, voice actor, and creator known for his indie-animated short series Unstoppable: Evolution, which focuses on three heroes, Max, Leo, and Sam, teaming up with allies to stop villains like Gadgeteer Gus, Chaos, or Sparkle. Growing up in Chicago with both parents who are Louisiana Creoles of color, Johnathan has been a lifelong fan of action-packed cartoons and superhero movies since a young age. His passion for these genres has profoundly influenced his animations, drawing inspiration from both the shows he currently enjoys and those he loved as a child. Johnathan took two years to explore different cultures and his own family roots to honor himself and other cultures in his show and other projects, and he hopes to represent every kind of person. Through animation, film, voice performance, music, and digital media, Johnathan aims to inspire others to embrace creativity, explore new possibilities, and discover the power of storytelling.
