Abhishek Bachchan (born 5 February 1976 in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian actor and producer. He is the son of Indian actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and is married to actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. Bachchan debuted with J.P. Dutta's Refugee (2000), but it was not until 2004 that he achieved success when he appeared in the commercially successful Dhoom and the critically acclaimed Yuva. His work in Yuva received several awards, including his first Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actor category, an award he would win for the two next years as well. In 2010, he won his first National Film Award (as a producer) for Paa which won the award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. He has starred in films such as Bunty aur Babli, Guru, and Dostana and has thereafter established himself as one of the leading actors of Bollywood.

One day, the police knock on Amit's door, informing him that his father had lost his hold from a crowded local train and was instantly killed after falling on the rails. One night, the trio gatecrash a wedding and meet Amit's youngest daughter, Neha, only later realizing that the wedding is for Neha's older sister, Tina. After one year, Amit gets a visit from Neha to find out that she was brutally murdered. Amit is kept in total isolation for 3 years without knowing who imprisoned him and why. For this, they have to separate the consignment into two-halves, one half with only left shoes in Dubai and the other half with only right shoes in Thailand. As Ahmed starts reading the first diary, Amit attacks him and ties him up. Rakesh, a ruthless gangster, shifts to Karachi to start a drug business. He kills a man for not returning the money he borrowed from him. While he was a top student in his school and college days, he is not having much luck in finding work, clients or projects. Released on bail, Amit receives a call from Rakesh, who reveals what he did and offers to stop troubling Amit if he will apologise. He leaves to catch the bus, but is beaten up on the way and has the briefcase stolen. In order to retrieve it, he enlists the help of a prostitute whom he met at the lodge. After finding the place, he fights off the robbers and takes the briefcase. He then hurries to catch the bus while talking to the caller, it is implied that Amit kills Rakesh.
