Takanashi Rin, born in Funabashi city, Chiba prefecture, is a Japanese model, film and television actress. After being scouted in Harajuku, she entered the audition for Fuji TV's variety show "Idol Road" and won the Grand Prix in 2005. The idol group Pink Jam Princess was formed at the end of the year and she was one of the five members. The group was short-lived and disbanded after releasing a single. Takanashi's career as actress began when she starred in the 2008 film adaptation of the Japanese novel "GOTH" as one of the lead characters, Morino Yoru. Her breakthrough came a year later with the 33rd entry of Super Sentai series, Samuri Sentai Shinkenger in which she starred as Shiraishi Mako / Shinken Pink.
