Mela is one of Penny's old school buddies and formerly a head of Team Star, but now, she's trying to clean up her act and go back to a normal school life. Though Mela seems tough and abrasive, she's a girl of many facets: she's a talented artist and a loyal, reliable friends, even if she doesn't like to show her softer side. Still, she doesn't quite enjoy the distrust her fellow students have for her even after she'd turned her back on her old, bullying ways, but maybe dealing with a cursed Pokemon causing trouble at school is what it takes to earn their trust?
