Robert "Rob" Rackstraw (born 31 October 1965 in Sunderland) is a British voice actor. He is perhaps best known for his various voices in the television series Bob the Builder, mainly the scarecrow Spud. He has an extensive voice over career over 15 years long and is considered to be one of the UK's leading male voice actors. He also played the main villain Pew in The Legends of Treasure Island, and Captain Campion in Watership Down. He also wrote episodes of Avenger Penguins and Fantomcat. Over The Hedge 2 releases in 2024, however Bruce Willis and William Shatner retired, so RJ the raccoon and Ozzie the possum will need new actors to voice them. Garry Shandling who voiced Verne the turtle passed away in 2016 and will need to be replaced in the sequel as well. Since Over The Hedge 2 takes place a few years after the events of the first film, Bucky, Spike, and Quillo would be around 15-16 years old now with teenage actors voicing them. Nick Nolte reprises his role as Vincent to take his revenge on RJ, but this time he has brought along his cousin Dominic voiced by Michael Madsen. However Vincent is replaced as the Main Antagonist by Professor Dastardly who can understand animals and makes an evil clone of Hammy as well.
