Outlaw King is a historical action-drama that tells the gripping true story of Robert the Bruce, a 14th-century Scottish nobleman who transforms from defeated noble to legendary freedom fighter. Set in the aftermath of William Wallace’s rebellion, the film follows Robert (played by Chris Pine) as he reluctantly pledges loyalty to England’s King Edward I after Wallace’s execution. But witnessing English tyranny firsthand—and driven by a desire to reclaim Scotland’s independence—Robert reclaims his crown, defies the English crown, and leads a small group of loyal followers in a daring guerrilla war against the vastly larger and better-equipped English army. Facing betrayal, brutal conditions, and overwhelming odds, Outlaw King charts Robert’s rise from exile to battlefield hero in the fight for Scotland’s freedom.
