Walton Sanders Goggins Jr. (born November 10, 1971) is an American actor. He has starred in various television series, including The Shield (2002–08), Justified (2010–2015), Vice Principals (2016–17), The Righteous Gemstones (2019–25), Invincible (2021–present), Fallout (2024–present), and The White Lotus (2025). He was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Justified and The White Lotus, and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Fallout. Goggins starred in and co-produced the Academy Award–winning short film The Accountant (2001). He has also featured in feature films, such as Predators (2010), Lincoln, Django Unchained (both 2012), The Hateful Eight (2015), Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Tomb Raider, and Ant-Man and the Wasp (all 2018).
The Outlast movie follows journalist Miles Upshur, who infiltrates the abandoned Mount Massive Asylum to investigate the dangerous experiments that were conducted there. He soon discovers that the asylum is full of dangerous patients, many of whom have been subjected to horrifying experimental treatments. Camera in hand, Miles must fight for survival as he tries to uncover the truth behind the experiments. As Miles makes his way deeper into the asylum, he discovers a series of documents and recordings detailing the horrors that took place at the asylum. He also begins to experience hallucinations and nightmares, indicating that he may be losing his sanity. As the situation becomes more dangerous, Miles meets other survivors of the asylum, such as security guard Billy Hope and patient Eddie Gluskin. Together, they try to find a way to escape the asylum and expose the experiments to the light of day. However, time is running out for Miles and his allies as the asylum's most dangerous patients are hunting them down. Eventually, Miles discovers the truth behind the experiments and what really happened at Mount Massive Asylum, but by then, it may be too late to escape the madness of the asylum.
