Oswald was not the only one who mourned Walt's death. Mickey was there on his deathbed and wept. Before Walt died, Mickey was told he had a brother named Oswald. But he'll have to take to Felix the Cat about information like that. For years, Mickey looked for the right opportunity to arrange a meeting between him and Felix, in hope of getting Oswald out of that cruel lifestyle. Mickey and Oswald shared the same qualities, including bravery, and selflessness. Mickey Mouse has never backed down before, and he won't start now.
