A high-ranking member of the Kurogane family, a lower branch of the prestigious Hiiragi family, and a man who knows what it means to live in the shadow of powerful relatives, he carries the burden of a past tragedy where he used an experimental vampire-blood potion to revive his fallen comrades, an act that haunts him. He keeps many secrets to himself, and has no difficulty lying about them. His overall pleasant demeanor, and repeated claims of putting family first, with good natured intentions of wanting to help others is extraordinarily successful in allowing a conspicuous manipulative streak to go unchecked.
