Franz Spilhaus is a South African stunt coordinator, action director, and camera operator. After studying Sports Science at the University of Stellenbosch, Franz left for the UK and became a top rigger for Show Force and Edwin Sherley Staging, largely due to his extensive sailing background and outdoor nature. After four years abroad, he returned to South Africa to work on the well-known reality series Fear Factor as Key Rigger. Commitment, dedication, professionalism and the strive to be the best has got Franz and Grant to where they are today as Pyranha Stunts. Hard work is Franz's middle name, as no stone is left unturned in providing the best service and product for whatever project he works on. He loves being behind the camera and creating new and interesting action sequences and shots. To this end he has invested much of his time to perfecting the art of choreography between camera and the stuntman.
