Five students go into detention. However, the detention takes a dark turn when the school outcast and secret spiller Simon Kelleher dies under suspicious circumstances. All four of the students in detention are now considered the main suspects.
The rest of the story is The Breakfast Club meets Knives Out meets Psych as the four students: Bronwyn, Nate, Addy and Cooper form an alliance to try and catch the killer. As the story unfolds the entire group becomes closer forming a close tight knit friendship with some members of the group even becoming a couple. Through their new bonds they learn to be more authentic and find their confidence and courage.
