Charlie is slightly autistic, has ADHD, and is not the brightest bulb in the Rebellion. Nor is he the bad apple. He's a good-hearted soul who is just simple-minded and a VERY joyful member of the Nyan Rebellion. No matter how many times he was picked on, his spirit was never broken. Charlie's even supportive for his friends, old and new, including Marty, who was down in the dumps after the big battle. The only time Charlie was serious was when Nyan Prime was attacked by Tac Nayn on the day Americat died. But after two hours of grieving and when Marty took them to Earth where Tac Nayn was attacking next, Charlie was himself again.
