The Ninth Nurse fought to regain her freedom, as she was exiled as a priest and ordered to only travel on missions for the Time Lords. She was more morally unclear than the previous nurses and struggled to stay on the wagon as she battled the Gallifrey High Command and her greatest enemies. Eventually forced into a cat and mouse game with the authorities, she managed to break free from her exile and regained her freedom once again, becoming a fugitive from the Time Lords. Eventually, she heroically sacrificed herself to save Gallifrey from the Space Gob's super weapon and died of horrific burns, resulting in another regeneration.
