Eugene Levy CM (born December 17, 1946) is a Canadian actor, known for his work in both Canadian and American movies and television series. He is the only actor to have starred in all seven of the American Pie films, as Noah Levenstein. From 1976 until 1984, he appeared in the Canadian television sketch comedy series SCTV. He is a regular collaborator of actor-director Christopher Guest, appearing in and co-writing four of his films, commencing with Waiting for Guffman (1996). In 2004, he won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for "A Mighty Wind" from the film of the same name that he co-wrote. In 2008, he received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award, Canada's highest honour in the performing arts. In 2019 and 2020, he was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, which he won in 2020. Levy has won multiple accolades throughout his career including four Primetime Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award. He was appointed to the Order of Canada on June 30, 2011. From 2015 to 2020, he starred as Johnny Rose in Schitt's Creek, a comedy series that he co-created with his son and co-star Dan Levy. His daughter, Sarah Levy, portrays Twyla Sands, the waitress at the Schitt‘s Creek diner. His brother Fred is also a producer on the show.

Un padre y un hijo atraviesan Argentina por carretera, desde Buenos Aires hacia las cataratas de Iguazu, en la frontera norte con Brasil. Son los años de la junta militar, hay controles de soldados armados y tension en el ambiente. El hijo se llama Gaspar y el padre trata de protegerlo del destino que le ha sido asignado. La madre murió en circunstancias poco claras, en un accidente que acaso no lo fue. Como su padre, Gaspar esta llamado a ser un medium en una sociedad secreta, la Orden, que contacta con la Oscuridad en busca de la vida eterna mediante atroces rituales. En ellos es vital disponer de un medium, pero el destino de estos seres dotados de poderes especiales es cruel, porque su desgaste fisico y mental es rápido e implacable. Los origenes de la Orden, regida por la poderosa familia de la madre de Gaspar, se remontan a siglos atras, cuando el conocimiento de la Oscuridad llego desde el corazón de africa a Inglaterra y desde alli se extendió hasta Argentina.
