Val Edward Kilmer (December 31, 1959 – April 1, 2025) was an American actor. Originally a stage actor, Kilmer became popular in the mid-1980s after a string of appearances in comedy films, starting with Top Secret! (1984), then the cult classic Real Genius (1985), as well as blockbuster action films, including a role in Top Gun and a lead role in Willow. During the 1990s, Kilmer gained critical respect after a series of films that were also commercially successful, including his roles as Jim Morrison in The Doors, Doc Holliday in 1993's Tombstone, Batman in 1995's Batman Forever, Chris Shiherlis in 1995's Heat, and Simon Templar in 1997's The Saint. During the early 2000s, Kilmer appeared in several well-received roles, including The Salton Sea, Spartan, and supporting performances in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Alexander, and as the voice of KITT in Knight Rider.

Its 2023, and Buddy McFly, Marty's cousin, and siblings Jules and Verne Brown, sons of Emmett Brown, are best friends. The trio discovers a DeLorean time machine in the garage and together they decide to investigate various events in modern history. First, they travel to 1881 and witness a shootout at the O.K. Corral. The second time visited is July 16, 1969 and the launch of Apollo 11. The next stop on the time journey is 1979, where they watch Rocky become the World Heavyweight Champion. They then flash forward a year and watch the finals of the hockey competition at the Lake Placid Olympics. They then go to 1984, when the legendary and final Ghostbusters fight with Gozer took place, then stop in 1985 and watch the familiar scene from the first Back to the Future movie where Marty and the Doctor try to get back home. The journey through time continues in 1992, when two basketball teams, the American Dream Team and the Croatians, compete in Barcelona, and the winner takes the gold medals. Buddy, Jules and Verne decide to make their wishes come true and each choose an event they want to see. Buddy chose January 14, 1973 and the legendary Elvis Presley concert in Hawaii. It's still September 11, 1985 and the baseball game Jules always wanted to see as Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb's record. As a Dolphins fan, Verne chose January 13, 1974 and Superbowl XIII. But then a mistake happened and the DeLorean is unstoppable and jumps through time. in the end the fix it and returns home.
