After the Nova Corps members are killed in action by the intergalactic pirate, Zorr. The last surviving member of the Nova Corp, Rhomann Dey (John C. Reily), transmits his powers into a New York teen named Richard Rider (Dylan O'Brien), thus changing his entire life forever to become the new superhero, Nova.
