John, a man in his 40s while on vacation, meets Ruth-a girl 18 years younger than him. It started with borrowing her two missing dollars for a drink at the hotel bar, and soon they started talking to each other and spending more and more time together. After about a year of a relationship that they kept secret from their families, they decided to confess the truth to them. First they decided to do it in front of John's family. They were not thrilled, while his mother was very angry because she saw his new girlfriend as a threat-she thought she only wanted his money. The rest of his family could do nothing, and agreed with the old woman. The couple broke up with great regret. However, a year later, John's mother dies. John and Ruth get back together and get married, for they had previously become engaged. Unfortunately, his family breaks off all contact with him. The man is devastated and distraught, his beloved decides to help him repair his relationship with his family.
