A mutant gecko created by Baxter Stockman to serve the Shredder. Originally the skateboarding lead singer of the metal band Merciless Slaughter, the young man who would become Mondo Gecko was abducted one night after a performance to be mutated into a minion of the Shredder. However, Mondo wasn’t very loyal to the Shredder, so he had to be kept in line so he could fight the Turtles alongside Leatherhead, Mona Lisa, and Slash. Mondo didn’t seem to mind being mutated all that much as he could now stick to walls and camouflage with his surroundings, his flippant and excitable demeanor easily making him a friend of Michelangelo.
