The two of them frequently compete to see who can get the juicier scoops, April usually going for crime-related stories while Lola goes after far bigger and more ambitious stories related to government corruption and violence against minorities, inspiring many a catty back-and-forth between the two, where Lola would often accuse April of getting so far because her mother is Channel 6’s top reporter. But deep down, Lola has a deep respect for April’s can-do attitude and determination to get the job done no matter what it takes.
