The Turtles’ first and most valuable human friend. This version of April is an autistic Asian-American college student at Laird East University studying science & journalism, interning with her science teacher Baxter Stockman, and working with her mother at Channel 6 News. As a result, she has a lot on her plate and is often very stressed out. Upon first meeting the Turtles, April believed that she finally snapped from overwork and was now hallucinating, but after learning their origin from Splinter, April slowly began to warm up to the Turtles and see them as like the little brothers she never had.
